Welcome to Forest RV Park

Prehistoric Forest during the 1950s
Prehistoric Forest during the 1950s

Since the 1950s, many people remember traveling to Marblehead, Ohio to see the dinosaurs at the Prehistoric Forest, an iconic roadside attraction that endured over 60 years. The Prehistoric Forest closed its doors in 2010. All the dinosaurs found new homes and now just the Volcano remains to remind us that the mighty dinosaurs once lived here.

We built the Forest RV Park with our past in mind. It had brought so much enjoyment over the years to so many. We hope to establish a community where families will enjoy the lake and attractions of Marblehead while having the leisure to return to their home away from home. We are looking forward to our campers creating many fond memories of their own.

Forest RV Park is a Seasonal RV/Trailer Campground spread over 10 acres of wooded area. We have city water and sewer hook-ups. Our park has over 100 back in type lots, 30′ x 40′ feet, with 50 amp electric for Trailers and RVs. As a Seasonal Campground we are open from April 15 to October 15 of the year. You can check out our complete amenities here. We have a playground, a pool, Camp Store and more just to name a few. The kids will love taking selfies in front of our World Famous Volcano. We have events planned for most weekends during the season and you can see them on our calendar page.

Marblehead Lighthouse is one of Lake Erie's best known and most-photographed landmarks.

Forest RV Park is located in Lakeside Marblehead, Ohio, known as Vacation land due to all of the close attractions which you can read about on our Local Attractions Page. We are on the Marblehead Peninsula. The campground is centrally located for most of the areas attractions. We are 5 minutes from Lake Erie where you can enjoy swimming, boating and fishing. The campground is only 30 minutes away from places like Cedar Point Amusement Park, The Roller Coaster Capital of the World.

Forest RV Park is happy to embrace its past as the former Prehistoric Forest and Mystery Hill Attraction but we are now a PRIVATE campground. Our amenities such as our pool, playground, Volcano etc. are only for the use of our campers at Forest RV Park.
